Initial yield is generated from Aave collateral deposits, with plans for borrowing and delegation features to increase future returns.

A new stablecoin, stcUSD, has maintained an annual percentage yield (APY) of approximately 12% in its first week of operation. The yield is currently generated by depositing the stablecoin's collateral into the Aave protocol.
The project plans to introduce additional features, including delegations and operator borrowing, which are expected to create further demand for the stablecoin and potentially increase the APY. This mechanism suggests a strategy of leveraging established DeFi protocols as a foundational layer for yield generation.
The current 12% APY is positioned as a starting point before the "real fun begins" with the rollout of its full borrowing and delegation model. This positions stcUSD as a new entrant in the competitive stablecoin yield market.
