Tokenization
The integration brings the largest regulated stablecoin to a blockchain designed for real-world assets, enhancing cross-chain interoperability.
September 4, 2025
Circle has announced the upcoming integration of its native USDC stablecoin and Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) V2 with Plume Network
This move will bring the world's largest regulated and fully-reserved stablecoin to the Plume ecosystem. The integration of CCTP V2 is particularly significant as it allows developers to enable users to securely move native USDC between Plume and other supported blockchains with 1:1 capital backing. This feature is designed to reduce friction and improve the efficiency of multi-chain asset flows.
The collaboration signals a growing trend of established stablecoin infrastructure expanding to support the tokenization of real-world assets. By integrating with Plume, Circle is positioning USDC to become a key liquidity and settlement layer for the RWA sector on a specialized network, fostering a more interconnected and efficient on-chain financial ecosystem.
