Companies mentioned:

Quick Take
  • Circle is deploying its native USDC stablecoin on the Hyperliquid Layer 1.
  • The integration includes Circle's updated Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) V2.
  • The partnership aims to provide trusted liquidity and support for developers on the Hyperliquid platform.

Circle announced it will deploy native USDC and its upgraded Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) V2 on Hyperliquid, a high-throughput Layer 1 decentralized exchange.Alongside the launch, Circle has made its first investments in HYPE tokens and is rolling out a comprehensive program to collaborate with innovative HIP-3 and HyperEVM builders. The company is also exploring the potential to become a Hyperliquid Validator, signaling deeper involvement in the platform's governance and operations.

The move is designed to provide trusted liquidity and enhanced interoperability for developers and users within the Hyperliquid ecosystem. By integrating native USDC, Circle aims to solidify the stablecoin's position as a core asset within one of DeFi's innovative trading platforms.

With Native USDC on HyperEVM, CCTPv2 interoperability, and upcoming HyperCore support, Hyperliquid users and developers can effortlessly transfer digital dollars across the crypto economy. This opens doors for fintechs, on-ramp providers, and other services to integrate with Hyperliquid using the most liquid stablecoin available.

Beyond liquidity, Circle has prioritized multichain enablement and protocols like CCTP and Circle Gateway to ensure USDC's seamless portability across platforms. This commitment mirrors how streaming services like Spotify and Netflix make content accessible everywhere, but with added trust, transparency, and efficiency.

In the coming weeks, Circle plans to extend direct deposits and CCTP interoperability for Hyperliquid USDC on HyperCore, further solidifying its commitment. For Hyperliquid, the direct support from Circle provides a stable, reliable asset, which is critical for its order book-based trading infrastructure and for fostering further development on its platform, HyperEVM.
