Plasma, a stablecoin infrastructure provider, has announced a partnership with Rain, a card issuance platform, to launch crypto spending cards. These cards will allow users to spend Plasma USD₮ at over 150 million merchants worldwide, wherever Visa is accepted.

Rain, which recently raised $58 million in a funding round, provides the necessary infrastructure for companies to issue their own branded crypto spending cards. This partnership will provide Plasma users with both on-ramps from local currencies to stablecoins and off-ramps for spending, aiming to make stablecoins a more practical tool for daily financial activities. The collaboration signals a growing trend of integrating blockchain-based payment solutions with traditional financial networks to enhance the utility of digital assets.
