Circle has launched its Circle Gateway on HyperEVM, extending its chain-abstracted infrastructure to several new ecosystems including Hyperliquid, Sei Network, SonicLabs, and World Chain. This move allows for a unified, non-custodial USDC balance that can be accessed instantly across these supported blockchains.
The core of the integration is the use of Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), which facilitates seamless movement of USDC. For developers and businesses, this eliminates the complexities of managing liquidity across fragmented chains. By providing a single integration point for on-demand liquidity, the Gateway is designed to significantly improve capital efficiency for treasury management.
This expansion signals Circle’s strategy to embed USDC as a foundational layer for cross-chain commerce and payments. The frictionless user experience aims to simplify transactions, making it easier for payment providers, exchanges, and wallets to operate in a multi-chain environment. The launch on HyperEVM represents a key step in creating a more interoperable and capital-efficient digital asset market.
