The platform is available to non-U.S. investors and provides 24/7 access to equities from major companies like Apple, BlackRock, and Microsoft.
This initiative aims to merge traditional financial markets with the DeFi ecosystem by tokenizing real-world assets.
Ondo Finance has launched Ondo Global Markets, a platform offering tokenized versions of more than 100 of the world's largest stocks and ETFs. This move makes shares of companies like BlackRock, Microsoft, Apple, and NVIDIA accessible onchain for non-U.S. investors, representing a significant expansion in the tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs).
The platform is designed to provide institutional-grade products and traditional-market liquidity, allowing for instant, 24/7 trading. By tokenizing a wide range of public securities, Ondo aims to create interoperable, liquid assets that connect the worlds of traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi). This launch is considered the largest of its kind in the tokenized equities space.
The development signals a growing industry trend of bringing traditional financial assets onto blockchain infrastructure to enhance efficiency and accessibility. To expand retail access, Trust Wallet has already integrated Ondo’s new tokenized assets, enabling its users to trade equities without needing a traditional brokerage account.
