The new feature allows businesses to accept recurring payments in USDC on the Polygon and Base networks, expanding crypto payment options for subscription-based businesses.
October 15, 2025

Stripe has enabled recurring stablecoin payments for all its merchants, leveraging the Polygon blockchain to power the new feature. This development allows businesses on the platform to accept subscriptions and other recurring payment models using stablecoins. Initially, the service will support USDC payments on both the Polygon and Base networks.
The move is a significant step in bridging the gap between traditional finance and the crypto economy, offering more payment flexibility for businesses and their customers. By integrating stablecoin subscriptions, Stripe is catering to the growing demand for crypto payment options, particularly within the digital and Web3 sectors.
This integration with Polygon, a leading Ethereum scaling solution, ensures that transactions are efficient and low-cost. For the nearly 30% of Stripe’s user base with recurring revenue models, this new feature provides a streamlined way to manage both fiat and stablecoin subscription payments within the Stripe Dashboard.
