Raincards has announced the acquisition of Fern, the developer-favorite API platform for stablecoin orchestration and global pay-in/pay-out flows.
Founded in 2022, Fern gained rapid adoption among fintechs, remittances companies, and crypto-native businesses for its elegant APIs that abstract the complexity of moving stablecoins across chains, banks, and liquidity venues. Its flagship product, the Fern Multiplex, dynamically routes currency conversions through dozens of liquidity providers, blockchains, and partner banks to deliver best-price execution and sub-second settlement.
The partnership between the two companies began earlier this year when Fern integrated Rain’s card-issuing capabilities to round out its payout offerings. Collaboration quickly revealed deep strategic alignment.
For Rain, the acquisition brings the Fern Multiplex directly into its core routing engine, a major upgrade to its existing liquidity abstraction layer. The multiplex technology will power smarter routing, deeper liquidity pools, and expanded on/off-ramp coverage in new geographies.
