Crown, a financial technology company that issues the Brazilian Real-pegged stablecoin BRLV, has raised $13.5 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by venture capital firm Paradigm and brings Crown's total funding to $21.6 million, with a new valuation of $90 million.

BRLV is 100% collateralized by Brazilian government bonds, offering institutions frictionless, on-chain exposure to one of the world's highest-yielding sovereign debt markets. Unlike traditional USD-backed stablecoins such as USDC, BRLV features native revenue sharing, distributing a portion of the yield generated from its bond reserves directly to institutional partners.

The platform also supports advanced use cases, including automated treasury management, instant settlements, and compliant digital wallets for tokenization platforms—all while staying fully on-chain.

The funding will fuel product development, compliance enhancements, and expansion as Crown positions BRLV as the leading institutional-grade BRL stablecoin. With Brazil emerging as a crypto hotspot—leading Latin America in transaction volume—BRLV arrives at a pivotal time for real-world asset tokenization in emerging markets.
