This collaboration leverages Chainlink's Data Streams to provide fast, reliable pricing data, enabling 24/7 trading of perpetual contracts tied to major U.S. stocks and indices.

Equity Perps are cash-settled perpetual contracts that allow traders to speculate on the price movements of real-world assets without owning the underlying securities. These contracts track the asset's price via a funding rate mechanism and have no expiration date, offering continuous exposure around the clock. Unlike traditional stock trading, which is limited by market hours, BitMEX's offering operates 24/7/365, unconstrained by conventional trading schedules. During U.S. market hours, prices are anchored to live equity data, while off-hours pricing draws from tokenized markets and exchange liquidity to maintain continuity.

Chainlink's Data Streams play a crucial role by delivering sub-second, low-latency oracle services that aggregate data from multiple sources. This ensures accurate and manipulation-resistant pricing, particularly during non-trading hours, where BitMEX integrates Chainlink feeds alongside Pyth oracles.
