Tether and video-sharing platform Rumble have launched the Rumble Wallet, a new self-custodial cryptocurrency wallet integrated directly into the Rumble platform. The wallet allows users to tip creators in Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), and Tether Gold (XAUt), providing a new monetization channel.
Built using the Tether Wallet Development Kit (WDK), the integration keeps custody in the hands of the users. This partnership signifies a notable move to embed crypto-native payment solutions within established Web2 platforms, aiming to give creators more direct control over their earnings.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino echoed this sentiment, highlighting the alignment with decentralization and free expression.
"At Tether, we champion technologies that promote freedom, decentralization, and the fundamental right to free speech," Ardoino said. "Rumble Wallet brings those ideals together into one product that will give tens of millions of users more control than any platform has offered before."
Tether's WDK, now available for free at wallet.Tether.io, is designed for developers, companies, and even AI agents to build secure wallets across blockchains. This launch positions Rumble as a pioneer in blending social media with crypto-native tools, potentially attracting more users disillusioned with legacy systems.
